The Mayor of Orumba South, Anambra State, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike, has made a case for children, by urging parents and guardians to take responsibility for giving children the best moral upbringing, noting that they will preserve the legacy of the current generation.
He gave them this charge when he celebrated children in Umunze, the headquarters of the local government area on Tuesday, being the International Children’s Day.
Hon. Azubuike in his message described children as “special gifts from God and above all heritage from the Almighty,” even as he emphasized that the future of every generation lies in their hands.
While reiterating the importance of giving children the best moral upbringing, he commended Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State and his wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, for their initiatives, benefiting Anambra children, particularly the free education program aimed at providing quality education.
To this end, he said: “Children are special gifts and heritage from God Almighty,” just as he assured Orumba South children of his commitment to ensuring they receive the best, urging parents to take care of their wards and prioritize their well-being and education.
