The Grassroots Mandate Group Initiative (GMGI), a prominent political support organization under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has officially endorsed Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika’s second-term bid in the House of Representatives. This was contained in a press release signed by Amb. Emenike Egwusunwa, the SA on Media and Publicity for Obika on Saturday.

The endorsement was led by GMGI’s National President, Hon. Dr. Ubasinachi, former APGA candidate for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.

The event brought together legacy APGA members, past councillorship candidates, and key party stakeholders from wards across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

GMGI conferred upon Hon. Obika the title of National Grand Patron and presented him with an Award of Excellence for his legislative contributions and commitment to grassroots development.

Hon. Dr. Ubasinachi reaffirmed GMGI’s commitment to Obika’s re-election, pledging to mobilize support across all wards in AMAC/Bwari.

He described Obika as a dedicated representative deserving of a second term, stating, “We have structures in every ward… We are fully mobilized to ensure his success.”

In a significant realignment, Ubasinachi announced his move to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with Obika, collapsing GMGI structures into the APC.

The group pledged support for FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s agenda and vowed to mobilize grassroots support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
