Mr Olufowobi Desmond, Convener and President of The Nigeria Nexus, unveiled the initiative on Wednesday in Abuja.

Desmond said that the initiative was aimed at rewriting Nigeria’s narrative and to transform the nation.

He said that with determination, unity, and a clear vision for the future, Nigeria would become even greater and stand out in the community of nations.

He said that the initiative sought to provide a platform where the aspirations of Nigerians accompanied by actions would bring about lasting change and development.

“The importance of a shared national vision in driving collective progress is important.

“Thriving nations are built on such visions which unite people from diverse backgrounds and motivate them to prioritise the greater good over personal interests.

“Nigeria is currently at a crossroads, and without a clear national vision, the country risks continuing its cycle of disunity, underdevelopment, and unrealised potential,” he said.

Desmond said that as inheritors of the legacy left by the founding fathers of the nation, youths had a duty to rekindle the flame of patriotism in every Nigerian.

He called on Nigerians to come together, guided by a collective vision, to ensure that the nation moved toward unity and prosperity.

He said that the journey to national greatness demanded discipline unity. and an unflinching commitment adding that countries like Rwanda and Singapore have followed that line and succeeded.

He therefore, said that Nigeria should chart a similar course adding that the country is blessed with vast human and natural resources.

“We are a nation of innovators, creators, and resilient people. What we lack is the will to unite behind a national vision that transcends ethnicity, religion, and politics,” he said.

According to Desmond, the initiative is founded on the need to articulate a national vision, promote patriotism and create pathways for change.(NAN).
