Sources revealed that the abductees were released after the church and families of the victims had coughed out N50 million.

The victims were released after spending seven days in the den of the gunmen due to their insistence on collecting N50 million ransom.

It would be recalled that on Friday last week, the victims were abducted while travelling to Ifon in Ose Local Government Area of the state for the wake service of the late mother of one of the members of the church.

Few hours after they were abducted, eight a.ong them were said to have escaped from the den of their Abductors.

The remaining 11 victims were held captive by the gunmen while they demanded N50 million ransom for the release of the victims.

But a competent security source disclosed that all security operatives in the state would continue to track the criminals and apprehend them.
