The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has launched a new digital tax administration platform, Rev360, in a move aimed at simplifying tax compliance, improving taxpayer experience, and strengthening revenue collection across the country.

The platform, unveiled is designed to integrate key tax functions including taxpayer registration, filing, payment processing, compliance management, reporting, and support services into a single digital ecosystem.

Speaking at the launch, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, described the initiative as a significant step towards modernising Nigeria’s tax administration framework and creating a more transparent and predictable revenue environment.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Danjuma, the minister said digital solutions such as Rev360 were increasingly becoming critical tools for improving the ease of doing business and attracting investment.

According to him, the adoption of technology-driven tax systems aligns with the federal government’s broader economic reform agenda and efforts to build a more efficient and accountable revenue ecosystem capable of supporting sustainable national development.

The Executive Chairman of NRS, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, said the launch of Rev360 marked a major milestone in the agency’s transformation agenda, stressing that the service was evolving into a technology-driven institution focused on meeting the demands of a modern economy.

He explained that the platform was developed to eliminate fragmented tax processes and provide taxpayers with a seamless experience through a unified system.

“Rev360 is not just another technology platform. It represents a fundamental shift in how we engage taxpayers, manage compliance, and deliver services,” Adedeji said.

According to him, the platform forms a central component of the agency’s transition to what it describes as Tax Administration 3.0, a framework anchored on automation, real-time data visibility, enhanced transparency, and improved taxpayer engagement.

He noted that by reducing administrative bottlenecks and simplifying compliance procedures, the system is expected to encourage voluntary tax compliance while improving operational efficiency within the revenue service.

NRS Executive Director, Medium and Emerging Taxpayers Group, Mrs. Bolaji Akintola, said the platform was developed in response to changing taxpayer expectations, particularly among businesses operating in increasingly digital environments.

She explained that modern enterprises now expect public institutions to provide services that match the speed, convenience, and transparency commonly associated with private-sector platforms.

Akintola said Rev360 addresses those expectations by streamlining taxpayer onboarding, filing, payment processing, compliance management, and support services, while providing greater visibility into tax obligations and improved communication channels with the revenue authority.

Also speaking, Chief of Staff to the NRS Chairman, Mr. Tayo Koleosho, said the platform would play a key role in improving revenue performance through enhanced voluntary compliance and better use of data.

He noted that the system would generate valuable insights to support policy formulation, strengthen decision-making, and improve the overall effectiveness of tax administration.

Koleosho added that the reform extends beyond technology and represents a broader institutional and cultural shift in the way revenue authorities interact with taxpayers.

Providing technical insights into the platform, Executive Director, Technology, NRS, Mr. Iniabasi Akpan, said Rev360 was built as a fully integrated ecosystem that connects all taxpayer touchpoints into a single platform.

According to him, the system provides a comprehensive view of taxpayer interactions, enabling real-time monitoring, improved workflow management, and greater coordination across departments.

Akpan said the platform’s integrated architecture would support better service delivery, strengthen institutional responsiveness, and enhance the agency’s ability to leverage data for operational and policy purposes.

With the launch of Rev360, the NRS said it was reinforcing its commitment to innovation, transparency, and institutional reform as it seeks to build a modern, data-driven revenue administration system capable of supporting Nigeria’s economic growth ambitions.
