NSE confers honorary fellowship on Leemon Ikpea

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE),has conferred honorary fellowship on Chief Leemon Ikpea,the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lee Engineering Group and Allied Companies Limited.

Conferring the honorary fellowship on Thursday in Abuja,Mrs Margaret Oguntala,President and Chairman-in-Council NSE,said the honour was in recognition of his service to humanity and contributions to the oil and gas sector.

Oguntala said that Ikpea has used his engineering profession to contribute to national development.

“Chief Leemon Ikpea, the Group Chairman and CEO of Lee Engineering Group and Allied Companies Limited, is renowned for his visionary leadership and entrepreneurial acumen in the oil, gas, and power sectors.

” With over 46 years of experience and a workforce exceeding 3,000 employees, his company plays a significant role in driving Nigeria’s Local Content Initiative.

“His commitment to engineering excellence, local capacity building, and philanthropy have earned him numerous accolades, including the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).”

Oguntala said that Ikpea’s contributions have significantly advanced the engineering landscape in Nigeria.

She added that te honorary award reflected NSE’s deep appreciation for his impact on the industry and society.

Also speaking , Chairman of the Board of Fellows, Maliki Kamila, emphasised the importance of Ikpea’s contributions especially his investments in local fabrication factories .

Kamila added that his support for community development and youth empowerment through his foundation was commendable.

Responding ,Chief Leemon Ikpea,the Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lee Engineering Group and Allied Companies Limited, commended NSE for the honour and pledged more service to humanity.
