By Toby Chuks

Onitsha Business School (OBS) in collaboration with European Global School University Paris has marked its 10year anniversary and 3rd convocation ceremony amid jublilation as the School churned out as much as seven new holders of Doctor of Philosophy (PhDs) eight Masters of Business Administrstion (MBAs).

The anniversary and convocation which took place at the school premises in GRA also graduated two in Business Administrstion ( BBA) while fifteen students got proficiency certificates in various professional disciplines with five students graduating in Strategic Management and ten students in Export Business,.

In his speech, the Director- General
of the School, Prof. Segun Sogbesan, said many doubted them when they embarked on the journey to start the schoo in 2014.

Stressing that they faced a lot of challenges, sentiments and public apathy, he said that through sheer determination, commitment and strategic vision and guided by God’s grace they have come this far to achieve what many thought was impossible.

He thanked those who kept faith with them , assuring that their sacrifices were recorded and would be adequately rewarded in due season.

He noted that their partnership with the European Global University, Paris, among others, has been key factor providing their students with a truely global perspective.

The Registrar of the school, Dr. Sylvanus Izebhikhae, said OBS delivers services in three key areas, such as Industrial Skill Acquisition and Application Centre (ISAAC), where tertiary institution graduates are taught entrepreneurial components of their courses.

Others, he said, include Obi Achebe Indigenous Management Centre (ONALIM C), which organises Executive management programmes and master classes for competences for Business owners and strategic leaders in industry.

The third is the professional centre, wherein they with their partners work for the development of certified professionals in various fields like finance, management, Accounting and Information Technology (IT), IT Security among others.
