Police confirm arrest of Naira Marley

Lagos State Police command, through its spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the embattled singer has been taken into custody.

Nigerian music sensation and Marlian Records founder, Naira Marley, has returned to Nigeria and taken into custody by the Lagos State Police command over the investigation into the tragic death of his former protege, Mohbad.

Lagos State Police command, through its spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the embattled singer has been taken into custody.

For weeks, speculation had been rife regarding Naira Marley’s whereabouts following the untimely demise of Mohbad, a rising star under his wing.

The singer, whose real name is Azeez Fashola, had been facing intense scrutiny amid reports linking him to Mohbad’s death.
