Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, has paid tribute to former President Muhammadu Buhari and the late Awujale of Ijebu Ode, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona (Ogbagba II). Bamidele described them as champions of peace, stability, and unity who served their country with dedication and patriotism.
Bamidele reflected on Buhari’s service as a Opeyemi, in a press statement issued from the Directorate of Media
reflected on Buhari’s service as a military head of state and president, noting his embodiment of discipline and self-control. He also praised Oba Adetona’s six-decade reign as a symbol of dignity, courage, and commitment to the progress and unity of his people.
The Senate Leader described the passing of Buhari and Oba Adetona as a huge loss not only to their families and communities but also to Nigeria, West Africa, Africa, and the black nations worldwide. He acknowledged their contributions to the nation in different capacities and prayed for their eternal rest.
