— Frees 48MW For Abuja DisCo

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it’s engineers have successfully energized the new installed 60MVA, 132/33kV power transformer at its 132/33kV Okenne Transmission Substation, in Kogi State.

According to TCN statement, the coming on stream of the transformer is a part of the effort by the Federal Government to boost electricity supply in the country.

With the commissioning of the new 60MVA power transformer, the capacity of the substation to wheel more bulk power to Abuja DisCo has increased by 48MW.

This means that Abuja DisCo can now offtake more electricity for customers within its franchise area, the statement said.
