Tension in Kebbi Varsity, As Strange Disease Kills five students

A yet to be medically diagnosed disease has so far killed five students of Kebbi state University of Science and technology Aliero ( KSUSTA).

Some students of the University told our correspondent and who don’t want their names published because the University is yet to make an official announcement, said that last week four students of the University died in a mysterious ways and today another student died who just fell sick at night and gave up the ghost today.

The source explained that, officials of world health organisation WHO came to their University last week and held an awareness campaign on the dangers of meningitis but didn’t tell them the two students who died before the campaign were Killed by meningitis.

However, when contacted on the issue, the registrar of the University,Maimaru Alhaji Tilli has confirmed the death of four students in the University’s records ” yes four students died in our own records but we don’t know the cause, but we do know there is need to decongest students accommodation”.

He , said, he has officially written to the ministry for higher education particularly the Commissioner,Alhaji Isah Abubakar Tunga to advise them on what to do to stop the death ” we requested in the letter to allow the University to be closed but we didn’t get any response,as for the disease we don’t know yet he said.

Another student who confirmed the death of the students said that even the students Union government has written to the University requesting the closure of the University over the strange diseases killing the students.
