Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates for the 2025 Anambra election, have called for patience and peace from Nigerians.

In a press statement containing his message to Nigerians at the celebration of 26th Democracy Day which he signed and made available to media houses, he emphasized that democracy is a journey, not a destination.

Prince Ukachukwu noted that democracy is a continuous process that requires patience, persistence, and responsibility. He cited the example of developed nations, where democracy has evolved over time through incremental improvements. He added that Nigeria’s democracy has also improved over the past 26 years, with small changes cumulatively contributing to significant progress.

The APC candidate urged Nigerians not to despair but to continue contributing to the development of the country’s democracy. He emphasized that every critical national juncture is an opportunity to improve democracy and that Nigerians should approach the process with patience and responsibility.

The APC candidates’ call for patience and peace on Democracy Day serves as a reminder of the importance of stability and continuity in Nigeria’s democratic journey. As the country prepares for future elections, their message highlights the need for Nigerians to remain committed to the democratic process and to work towards its improvement.

Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebration provides an opportunity for reflection on the country’s progress and challenges. The APC candidates’ message underscores the importance of perseverance and responsible leadership in navigating the complexities of democracy.
