The Coordinator addressed journalists recently to that effect.

Hear him: “As we step into the new year, I extend my warmest greetings to all Igbo people (Ndigbo) residing in the 19 Northern states and the FCT. May this year bring us peace, prosperity, and unity.

“As we celebrate the dawn of a new year, I would like to remind you that our great organization, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, is on the brink of a significant milestone. On January 10th, we will be electing a new President General and other executive members to steer the affairs of our organization.

“This election presents an opportunity for us to come together, united in our pursuit of a stronger, more vibrant Igbo community. I urge all eligible voters to participate in this electoral process, ensuring that our voices are heard and our interests represented.

“As we prepare for this crucial election, let us remember the values that have always defined us as Ndigbo: resilience, determination, and a commitment to the well-being of our people.

“I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year, and I look forward to working with you to build a brighter future for our community.”

Informing that the general election and inauguration of the newly elected executives will be done on January 10th, he however has this to say: “Let us march into this new year with hope, unity, and a shared vision for a greater Igbo nation.”
