Nigeria’s automotive and transport sectors are set for a major policy and business gathering as the 26th Abuja International Motor Fair holds from November 10 to 13, 2026, at Eagle Square, Abuja.
The four-day event, organised by in BKG Exhibitions Limited in partnership with
the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), is expected to bring together government transport officials, fleet operators, automotive businesses and other stakeholders to discuss policy, vehicle technologies and fleet solutions.
A major highlight of the fair will be a High-Profile Automotive Policy Summit, which will bring together State Ministries of Transport from across the country.
The summit is expected to provide a platform for discussions around Nigeria’s automotive and transportation priorities, with emphasis on strengthening relationships between government and industry players.
The organisers also listed a Federal Automotive and Fleet Engagement among the major activities planned for the event.
According to the programme, the engagement is targeted at transport departments of federal ministries, agencies and parastatals, providing an opportunity for public-sector fleet managers and automotive stakeholders to interact on available vehicle solutions and related opportunities.
The fair will equally feature engagements with major fleet operators, including state transport companies.
The organisers said major fleet owners would meet with the Director-General of NADDC and senior government officials as part of efforts to “build relationships, explore fleet solutions” and advance transport priorities.
The event is also expected to attract high-profile government and political figures, with special VIP visits planned for ministers, National Assembly leadership and other distinguished guests.
Beyond the policy and government engagements, the motor fair is designed to showcase new vehicles, automotive technologies, parts, accessories, deals and business opportunities.
The focus on fleet operators and government transport departments gives the event a broader dimension beyond a conventional vehicle exhibition, positioning it as a meeting point for policymakers, automotive manufacturers, suppliers and major vehicle users.
With government agencies and state transport authorities operating sizeable vehicle fleets, the organisers are seeking to create a platform where public-sector transportation needs can be matched with available automotive products and fleet-management solutions.
The event comes amid continued efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s automotive industry and improve the efficiency of transportation systems through local production, technology adoption and better fleet management.
The fair’s programme also indicates an emphasis on direct engagement between the automotive industry and government decision-makers, potentially giving participants opportunities to discuss regulatory and policy issues affecting the sector.
The 26th edition is expected to attract exhibitors and visitors interested in passenger and commercial vehicles, automotive components, parts, accessories and emerging technologies.
The organisers described the event as an opportunity for participants to discover the latest vehicles, technologies, deals and business opportunities in one location.
The Abuja International Motor Fair will run from November 10 to 13, 2026, at Eagle Square, Abuja, with NADDC and BKG Exhibitions Limited listed as organisers.
