Popular political pressure group known as Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement of Nigeria has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other well meaning Nigerians to mourn the exit of former President Muhammadu Buhari who died yesterday at a hospital in London aged 82.

The group in a Statement signed by its Convener and National leader Alhaji Muritala Mohamed alias ten ten who is also the Chairman of OUK Farms & Garden Nigeria Ltd and Secretary General Dr Ejike Nwangwu described the late President who was also a Military Head of State as a model of patience, discipline and integrity who left a legacy of passion for greater Nigeria with dedicated service while presiding over the affairs of Nigeria both as a soldier and a civilian

The group observed that the former President was a detribalized Nigerian who earned respect and friendship among Nigerians across board with his life of patience, discipline and intergrity noting that “Buhari was a unifying force between the North and South. He brought South closer to the North and moved North closer the South and that was why he was able to defeat an incumbent President with a landslide victory in 2025”

According to the group”Buhari bridged the gap between the North and South and people of North and South became more closer and more friendly to each other. Our principal Senator Orji Uzor Kalu bagged a Chieftaincy title in Daura as Dan Daiwan Daura-meaning Natural Gifted Son of Daura and Magayakin Katsina-meaning Warrior of katsina, courtesy of Buhari’s detribalized gesture to people across board.

While urging his survivors to bear the loss with fortitude, the grassroots pressure group called on the survivors in particular and Nigerians across board in general to build Nigeria on the legacies of the of the late civilian President and Military Head of State by being patient, discipline and subject of intergrity as well as building closer relationship and friendship as Northerners and Southerners.
