Okpoko a densely populated community in Ogbaru Federal Constituency in Anambra State is currently boiling in outrage from supporters of Zeribe Ezeanuna following the omission of Zeribe’s name among the names that were cleared for Federal House of Representatives election under All Progress Grand Alliance (APGA)

Ezeanuna as an aspirant for Federal House in Ogbaru Federal Constituency, it was learnt was in Abuja for screening alongside two other aspirants but only his name was found missing in the list of aspirants cleared to stand for the primary election of APGA billed to hold next week

Our correspondent reports that the mood of the people in Okpoko changed furiously with some youth, loyalists and supporters of Zeribe threatening to take to the street and chanting *we no gree, we no gree* when the news broke out but some community leaders quickly intervened to calm down the situation urging the aggrieved supporters to wait for verification over the issue of the list.

Reacting to the news, a prominent Youth leader and a right activist Comrade Martin Okechi had this to say, “who said so, it cannot happened. why should they disqualify Zeribe who is a true member of APGA and clear Chu Chu Onyema who is a member of PDP that jumped into APGA and Chris Nwokedi who was the APGA Chairmanship.candidate under Edozie Njoku faction during the local government election last year

“We are going to resist any attempt to stop Zeribe at a time when it is the turn of Okpoko Community to produce the member to represent Ogbaru in the Federal House. We won’t allow such to happen. Zeribe is the candidate of Okpoko Community and we are ready to deliver him under APGA. And let me tell you APGA should forget Ogbaru Federal Constituency without Zeribe because without fielding Zeribe Peter Obi’s candidate will take Ogbaru again

When contact Zeribe admitted that he went to Abuja for screening and was asked to just bow and go after introducing himself as a pioneer member of APGA in Ogbaru and fielding necessary questions. Hear him ‘I was in Anuja to face the screening panel and I was screened under the rules and protocol. I was asked questions which I fielded and was asked to bow and go. I am surprised that my name is not among the ones that were cleared”

Asked about the action he intends to take, he said he will reach out to the leaders and relevant stakeholders of the party including His Excellency Governor Chuwuma Soludo, the national chairman of the party Barr Sly Ezeokenwa.

“I was told you are cleared by the panel, and our report will reflect this decision. They called me a foundation member of APGA after hearing my opening remarks. I believe the leadership of our party led by Bar. Sly Ezeokenwa and H.E Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo will not allow this hijacking of APGA by PDP in Ogbaru to stand.
