The Member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, has paid a sympathy visit to the Abuja International Timber Market in Dei-Dei, FCT Abuja, following a devastating fire incident. Hon. Obika expressed profound sorrow and solidarity with the affected traders and workers, underscoring the need for proactive measures to mitigate such disasters in the future, according to a press release from Obika Media Team over the week.

While urging business owners to insure their goods and properties, emphasizing that insurance is a vital safety net for recovery, the legislator advised the immediate procurement and strategic placement of functional fire extinguishers throughout the market and recommended training traders in their basic usage.

However, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika called for the installation of security cameras within the market to prevent future occurrences and aid in incident investigation, even as he assured the constituents of his commitment to exploring avenues for providing relief and support to the victims, reaffirming his dedication to the welfare and security of the people of AMAC/Bwari.
