The Dangote Group pavilion became a focal point of attraction on Saturday during the 20th Abuja International Trade Fair, with participants and visitors flocking to engage with the company and explore its diverse offerings.Projected to attract over 100,000 participants from Nigeria and beyond, the ongoing trade fair saw significant interest in Dangote’s products ranging from cement, sugar, fertilizer, to petroleum products. A visitor, Peter Abdul, expressed admiration for the company’s extensive product range, highlighting the quality of sugar, cement, fertilizer, and salt on display. Similarly, Ibrahim Rogo from Kano showed keen interest in petroleum and polypropylene trading opportunities, collecting contact details for potential future engagement. The pavilion also attracted members of the diplomatic corps, who inquired about Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited, a key sub-entity of the group known for its truck manufacturing and assembly, strengthening local logistics capacity.Hashem Ahmed, General Manager of the Dangote Group, underscored the broader impact of the company’s products on the Nigerian economy. “Every bag of cement, every tonne of fertilizer, every litre of petroleum product, and every grain of sugar you consume from Dangote represents more than just a product. It represents a job for a Nigerian, a contract for a local supplier, an opportunity for a small business, and a step toward a more prosperous Nigeria,” he noted. He praised the company’s business partners and dealers for their crucial role in driving the brand’s success. The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) celebrated the Dangote Group’s participation and its long-standing partnership with the fair. ACCI President Chief Emeka Obegolu highlighted the company’s dedication to sustainability and innovation, aligning with the Chamber’s vision for a competitive Nigerian economy. The Dangote Group’s initiatives in local value addition, backward integration, and renewable energy reflect practical business strategies that support national economic growth, he said.Chief Obegolu extended gratitude to Dangote Group President Alhaji Aliko Dangote for his leadership and vision in strengthening the Nigerian economy. ACCI’s holistic support framework comprising trade centers and advocacy groups continues to benefit from collaboration with the Dangote Group, enhancing trade opportunities and fostering a more conducive business environment. The Dangote Group’s Special Day at the fair showcased its significant industrial footprint and reaffirmed its role as a pillar of Nigeria’s economic development. The company’s active participation complements the fair’s theme: Sustainability—Consumption, Incentives, and Taxation, reinforcing commitment to a sustainable and prosperous Nigeria.
