“Nigeria is not the only country that is facing all these challenges, other countries are also facing but one thing we say that can mitigate or reduce this type of challenges is to be God-conscious.

“As a religious body, we always talk to ourselves to be God conscious at all time and imbibe the culture and teachings of the Quran.

“You must understand that you have to do the right thing, be conscious of your dealings in any situation you find yourself, don’t cheat anybody don’t be corrupt,” he said.

Speaking on roles of the government to ameliorate the current hardship, Danesi called on the to consider the poor masses, do the right thing at all times and work with the mandate of God.

He also called on the government to take over the wellbeing of the citizenry so as to reduce crime rate to the barest minimum.

“The government has the responsibility to take care of its citizens, if this is done, nobody will think of cheating, killing or doing anything bad to another person.

” So as individuals, we should imbibe the culture and the spirit of godliness in us then the government also take it from there being that the God Almighty has given them the responsibility to take care of the citizens,”he added.

Also , a member of the movement and CEO, NASENI Solar Energy Ltd., Jafaru Mahmud, said their was need to build the capacity of the young ones to make them self reliant and contribute to the country.

“Apart from building the young ones religiously, we also do it in other ways too be because they need to fend for themselves.

“So the idea is that as we are taking care of their religious education, we also takes of their western education and in skills thereby building their capacities as children and young adults to create opportunities for them in addition to Islamic education,” he said.

Some of the Quranic reciters who spoke in an interview, called on the organisation to sustain the programme as it would impact positively on them.

Al-Amin Abdulhamid expressed hope in the future of the country saying that the competition would help to build capacity of the children and as well help the children find their root in the religion.

Also, a 10-Year Old boy, Ahmad Itahpe, appealed that the competition be sustained and also to include other areas that would help expand their potentials.

Recall that the event is part of the Afemai Islamic Movement Salah celebration after the successful completion of the month of Ramadan fasting.
