The legislator representing Orumba North/South Federal Constituency of Anambra State, in the Federal House of Representatives, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hon Chinwe Nnabuife (Adaejiejemba) has not only reiterated the place of digitalization in particular and the emerging technologies in general in ensuring global competitiveness in Nigeria’s education, but also urged the Federal College of Education (FCE) (Technical) students, Umunze, Orumba South, Anambra State to not only embrace technology but, also its virtues.

Represented by her Senior Special Adviser (SSA), Austine Uzo at the 6th Annual National Conference, organized by the School of Education and G. S, FCE (Technical), Umunze, the legislator gave the advice to the students as a Special Guest of Honour at the event.

The theme for the conference was: Digitalization if Nigerian Educational System in the Era of Emerging New Technologies for Global Competitiveness.

Still advising them to that effect, the Federal lawmaker, however emphasized the need for the students to be overtly studious in order to attain their educational aims and by extension, secure a future they can be proud of, even as she reassured the students of her continuous and unalloyed commitment to the school, a commitment which clearly dates back to the days prior to her election to represent the Constituency at the Green Chambers.

In response, one of the Speakers nostalgically went down memory lane to remind those present of Adaejiejemba’s indelible marks in the school’s historical landscape, saying that the school will not relent in maintaining the already cordial relationship it shares with the lawmaker, who remains a dependable pillar of support for the institution at all times.

While keynote address was presented by Prof Nonso Ngozika Bisong of the University of Calabar, lead paper presented by Prof (Lady) Nkechi Patricia – Mary Esomonu of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State capital, the workshop was presented by Prof. Alphonsus. O. Ovute of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, however, the provost of the College, Prof. T.O. Okoli was the chief host.
