Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has lauded the appointment of two distinguished Katsina State indigenes to key positions at the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA).

According to a statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Katsina State, the Governor commended the appointment of CEO Hillside Royal Suites, Badru Muntaka Ahmed as the Executive Director of Agricultural Services.

Badru is a seasoned banking executive with two decades of experience in agricultural financing and regional development.

Badru, an agriculture education graduate from Ahmadu Bello University, brings valuable expertise from his extensive career, including his recent role as Group Head, North III, where he successfully managed operations across seven northern states.

Governor Radda noted that Malam Badru’s appointment is particularly fitting given his unique blend of agricultural education and extensive banking experience in northern Nigeria.

“His proven track record in managing complex regional operations and agricultural financing will be invaluable to the Authority’s mission,” the Governor noted.

Governor Radda equally applauded the appointment of Abubakar Ibrahim Dutsin-ma as Executive Director of Finance.

He brings valuable public sector expertise to the Authority, drawing from his distinguished service as Mandate Secretary for Agriculture and Rural Development.

Abubakar’s experience as Chairman of various ministerial committees, including the Committee on Sales of Fertilizer, Pesticides and Agrochemicals, coupled with his ongoing MBA in Agribusiness Management from Rome Business School, positions him uniquely for this role.

“These appointments demonstrate President Tinubu’s careful consideration in selecting individuals who possess both the technical expertise and regional understanding necessary for these crucial positions. The President’s choice of these accomplished Katsina indigenes shows his dedication to merit-based leadership selection,” Governor Radda stated.

The Governor, on behalf of the Government and the people of Katsina congratulate the new appointees and appreciate President Tinubu for the confidence reposed in Katsina State’s human capital.

“We are confident that their service will contribute significantly to the agricultural transformation agenda of the Federal Government,” Governor Radda concluded.
