Group m to compliment gov’t efforts in road traffic accident prevention, reduction

The Special Road Traffic Mayors Association of Nigeria is set to compliment government efforts in Road Traffic and Safety Operations in Nigeria

The Association, which has been registered and incorporated in Nigeria, will harness the potentials of Nigeria youth Volunteers along with all available resources at their disposal, towards complimenting government efforts in Road Crash Prevention in Nigeria and globally.

Reacting to the establishment of Special Road Traffic Mayors Association, Amb. Fidelis Nnadi, who is among the co-founders of the body, vows to assist the government at all levels to improve road traffic safety nationwide through collaboration and partnership considering that Road Traffic Safety efforts are everybody’s responsibility.

“Accordingly, the Special Road Traffic Mayors Association of Nigeria will be established in all the States/FCT with a view to minimally prevent road crashes on Nigeria roads,” he said.

Stressing further, Amb. Fidelis Nnadi, who serves as the Interim National Coordinator, disclosed that the rate of road traffic and safety violations in the country is unbearable, Group Set to Compliment Government Efforts in Road Traffic Accident Prevention, Reduction

Stressing further, Amb. Fidelis Nnadi, who serves as the Interim National Coordinator, disclosed that the rate of road traffic and safety violations in the country is unbearable, resulting in road crashes leading to deaths and injuries.

Nnadi further lamented and highlighted the increasing volume of vehicles and human traffic on Nigeria roads where the Special Road Traffic Mayors’ complimentary efforts will be required and deployed towards achieving the deserved objectives.

Amb. Nnadi assured road users that the Association which is a voluntary organization will live up to its primary objective of safety for road users while commending the founders for their insight and concern for safety on the roads to found the Association.

On the recruitment of volunteers, Amb. Nnadi stated that there are many educated, enlightened, and dedicated youths that will be recruited to execute the mandate of the Association, assuring that the volunteers will team up with the existing structures of government established road safety and traffic agencies towards achieving goals.

“Our mission is to promote and compliment efforts in road traffic safety, enhance traffic management, and improve the overall quality of life for road traffic safety officers in Nigerians and globally, Nnadi said.

“We will implement the objectives of the group, including enhancing road traffic safety and reducing traffic-related fatalities and injuries through effective road safety measures.

In conclusion, Nnadi further disclosed that the group would promote public awareness and educate the public on road traffic safety and traffic management best practices.

On membership and participation, Amb. Nnadi stated that “we are inviting people that are passionate in road traffic safety and other stakeholders to identify and participate in our efforts to improve road traffic safety and traffic management in Nigeria.

Nnadi urged Nigerians to join the movement so that “together, we can make a difference and create safer roads for all Nigerians.

“Join us in our mission to enhance road safety and improve traffic management in Nigeria,” he concluded..
