Igbo paramount ruler, HRH Ossai urges peace, prudence at Christmas, New Year

HRH John Ossai, Igbo Paramount Ruler (Eze Ndigbo) in Karmo, Abuja, has released a Christmas and New Year message to his subjects, wishing them a joyous celebration and a prosperous 2026.

In his message through journalists in his palace on Friday, Eze Ndigbo urged peaceful festivities, aligning with Christian values and principles.

He emphasized the importance of prudent living, advising his subjects to “cut their coats according to their sizes” and prioritize responsible spending.

The paramount ruler stressed community solidarity, encouraging his people to be their brothers’ keepers and support one another.

Eze John Ossai of Ndigbo in Karmo further charged his subjects to ensure peaceful coexistence with other tribes in the Karmo, environs and the FCT in general, promoting harmony and understanding.

Reminding them that 2026 will bring new beginnings, urging them to prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead, the paramount ruler advised cautious spending during the festive season to ensure a favorable start to the new year.

His message emphasized the importance of living in peace and harmony with others, reflecting Christian values of love and kindness, just as he prayed for everyone’s well-being and safety during and after 2025.

The Eze Ndigbo’s words are expected to guide his subjects’ actions and reflections during this Christmas season.
