The renowned Anambra State-born human rights lawyer and lead counsel to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has been nominated for the Creek Multimedia Award for Most Outstanding Human Rights Lawyer of the Year 2026.

In a nomination letter signed by the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Creek Multimedia, Oluwadamilare Daniels, the award was described as a recognition of Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s unwavering commitment to human rights advocacy and the promotion of the rule of law.

Reacting to the nomination in his Monday Musings, Ejiofor described the recognition as:
“ANOTHER GLOBAL LAUREL FROM ACROSS THE NIGER — A GROWING CHORUS OF INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR AN UNRELENTING JOURNEY IN HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCACY.”

According to him, “It can only be God.”
“It is with a profound sense of honour, humility, and immense gratitude to God Almighty that I received yet another formal notification of my nomination for the Award of Most Outstanding Human Rights Lawyer of the Year 2026 by the globally recognised Creek Multimedia, publishers of Creekvibes Magazine,” .

According to the notification, the Joint Committee for the 5th Edition of the Creekvibes Stamp of Excellence Awards, after considering numerous nominations, selected Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor as a distinguished honouree in the Non-Governmental Organisation category to receive the prestigious recognition.
The award unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place on October 24, 2026, in Lagos.

Ejiofor stated that Lagos would once again witness another memorable celebration in his honour.

He urged his supporters, followers, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers to join him at the award ceremony.
“I enjoin you all to get your dancing shoes ready. By the grace of God, we shall gather once again to celebrate yet another remarkable recognition.

“At this rate, one may be tempted to ask: Are these awards pursuing us, or are we simply running out of shelves to keep them?
“But beyond the humour lies a deeper truth: every genuine recognition of service is ultimately a reminder that the work must continue,” he added.
Ejiofor expressed deep appreciation to the management of Creek Multimedia for the honour and recognition.

According to him, he does not take the nomination for granted, stressing that he received it with profound humility and a renewed sense of responsibility.

He said the recognition was not merely about receiving an award or an accolade; rather, it was a testament to the fact that years of active human rights advocacy, legal intervention, the defence of the vulnerable, and the relentless pursuit of justice are being noticed, monitored, and appreciated beyond the country’s borders and increasingly on the global stage.

“To God Almighty, therefore, I return all glory, honour, adoration, and thanksgiving.
“Indeed, it can only be God,” he said.
Reflecting on his journey, Ejiofor said that when one looks back at the struggles, battles, disappointments, sacrifices, and countless moments when the easier option would have been to simply look away, one cannot but acknowledge the abiding grace and unfailing mercy of God.

“He is, indeed, a merciful God,” .
“I also sincerely appreciate my beloved family and my colleagues in the Chambers, whose unwavering support, sacrifices, encouragement, and commitment have contributed immensely to the milestones we continue to record. Your contributions to these achievements are immeasurable and deeply appreciated.
“To all our friends, supporters, and well-wishers who have consistently stood by us, prayed for us, encouraged us, and believed in the cause, I say a very big thank you.
“The journey continues.
“The struggle for justice continues.
“The defence of human dignity continues.
“And by the special grace of God, the impact will continue to speak long after the applause has faded.
“To God alone be all the glory.
“May His Holy Name be forever praised.
“Amen,” he added.
