Unknown gunmen have reportedly abducted all family members onboard a vehicle, including the driver conveying a corpse from Lagos to Nsukka in Enugu State.
The remains of late Mr Ugwanyi Israel from Ameze Owerre, Umabor community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu who died in Lagos was being conveyed home by family members when kidnappers swooped on them.
According to a family source: “His corpse was on its way from Lagos yesterday (Sunday) when the vehicle conveying his body was halted by kidnappers and people in the vehicle alongside the driver were all kidnapped at Umuoka Udi LGA of Enugu state.

“The kidnappers have called the family and demanded a N50 million ransom. “
The Police is yet to comment on the incident as at the time of filling this report.
