Lagos Branch of Alor Development Union Elects New Executives

The lagos branch of Alor Development Union (ADU) in Idemili South Local Government Area Anambra State has elected its executive. The election held at Alor Christian Centre in Orile-Iganmu area of Lagos.

The electoral committee was led by High Chief Uzoma lgbonwa and High Chief Nnemeka Ngige (SAN) as Secretary.
Chief Chimezie Ukatu was voted overwhelming in favor as chairman after Chief Ejike Ofonna sept down for him.He is to serve for three years.

Other officers elected were Chief lkechukwu Anichebe (1st Vice Chairman); Chief Silas Ugwumba (2nd Vice Chairman);Chief Obiora Udoh (Secretary General); Bro . Nonso Okafor (Assistant Secretary); Mr. Chibuike Nwoye (Treasure); Bro.Tochukwu Uzochukwu (Financial Secretary);Chief Gozie Ewesiba (Assistant Financial Secretary); Mr. Obiora Ezenwakwelu (Public Relations officer ); Mr.Nobert Ngige (Social welfare );Mr Jasper Osondu (Assistance social Welfare );Mr. Donatus Nwadinobi (Chief Provost) and Mr. Elochukwu lzundu (Provost).
The officers were also inaugurated.
Chief Emmanuel Ojukwu President General of Alor People ‘s Convention,
Chief Uzoma Igbonwa, a former President of Alor People’s Convention, Chief John Obiekwe Former Lagos branch chairman, Chief Anene Ngige immediate past Chairman, Chief Obum Obiudoh lmmediate Past 1st Vice Chairman Chief Ejike Ofonna, lmmadiate Past 2nd Vice Chairman, Chief Chijoke Uzokwe former 1st Vice Chairman among others, attended the event.

Rendering his stewardship earlier, as the former secretary of the union in the last seven years, Chief Ukatu appreciated the cooperation of elders and leaders of the community for their confidence on the team as they were able to play their role creditably.
“I commend to the efforts ,love humanity, maturity and sportsmanship of Chief Ejike Ufonna for step down for me, saving the union stress and time of rigorous election.
” As it pleases you to elect me as the Chairman of Alor Development Union Lagos Branch, I promise to serve with transparency and accountability. I will be loyal to all the traditional institutions of Alor community and abide by the laws of Anambra State. I will be loyal to Igwe Collins Ebere Chukwumesili Ezedioramma 111 of Alor.
“I will be loyal to the President General of Alor People ‘s Convention.
“I will put God first in the administration of my office and I will be impartial in the discharge of my duties.
“I pray for God’s wisdom and guidance as I take decisions for the development of my beloved town, Alor.
“I’m optimistic that peace will be restored in Alor during my tenure in Jesus name, Amen.
So help me God.”
He described Lagos branch as vital platform for fostering friendship, national unity and cultural understanding.
He added that Lagos branch is a pride of the other branches looking into and would remain committed union to showcase the community developments and quality hospitality.
