The League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja (LAJA) congratulates the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on the commencement of his second tenure in office, describing it as a renewed mandate rooted in performance, vision, and public trust.

In a statement issued in Abuja and jointly signed by Amb. Ikenna Okonkwo, President of LAJA and Princess Ekwi Ajide, Secretary of LAJA, it noted that Governor Soludo’s re-election reflects the confidence of Ndi Anambra in his transformative leadership and the visible impact of his administration across critical sectors during his first term.

The association highlighted key achievements of the Soludo administration to include extensive infrastructure development through massive road construction and urban renewal projects, which have significantly improved connectivity and boosted economic activities across the state.

LAJA also commended the government’s proactive approach to security, which has helped restore public confidence and created a more conducive environment for residents and investors.

The emphasis on community-driven strategies and coordinated responses was described as instrumental in stabilising the state.

The statement further praised the administration’s drive towards building a digital economy, noting that investments in technology, innovation hubs, and youth empowerment initiatives have positioned Anambra as a forward-looking state in Nigeria’s evolving economic landscape.

In the area of education and human capital development, LAJA acknowledged ongoing reforms and interventions aimed at strengthening the sector and preparing young people for future opportunities.

While applauding these strides, LAJA emphasised that the second tenure presents an opportunity to consolidate on existing gains and accelerate development across the state.

The association called for sustained efforts in job creation, industrialisation, and support for small and medium-scale enterprises to ensure inclusive economic growth.

The League also urged the governor to deepen security architecture, strengthen citizen engagement, and maintain the momentum of reforms that directly impact the welfare of the people.

LAJA expressed confidence that Governor Soludo’s experience, policy direction, and commitment to excellence would further position Anambra State as a leading hub of innovation, investment, and sustainable development in Nigeria.

The association reaffirmed its support for policies and programmes that promote transparency, accountability, and good governance while pledging continued partnership in amplifying developmental strides in the state.
