Moshood Abiola Stadium Holds Nigeria Vs Mauritius World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria U20 women’s national team, the Falconets will continue their 2024 FIFA World Cup qualifier campaign with a clash with Mauritius at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

It was gathered that the first leg encounter between the two countries is scheduled to hold in Saint Pierre, Mauritius on Sunday, 8th October 2023 before the return leg in Nigeria on Saturday, 14th October.

The  Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) having satisfied with the performance of the Falconets Coach, Christopher Danjuma, on Wednesday, announced his re-appointment with first assignment against Mauritius. Yahaya Audu and former U17 girls’ assistant coach, Mansur Abdullahi will be the goalkeeper trainer and assistant coach respectively.

With 100% performance in the group stage, Netherlands beat the Falconets in the quarter-final stage of the 2022 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

The Nigeria U20 girls have never missed playing at the world cup.
