Late Mrs. Onoh was a devoted Catholic and a respected woman leader, known for her tireless efforts in promoting education and social welfare in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Born in 1970, Kate as she was fondly called was born, brought up in the Abbanobi-Eku family in Akwuoba Ogbunka, Orumba South, Anambra State, where she developed a strong sense of community service and social responsibility.

Until her demise, she was a junior sister to Abbanobi-Eku Onyeka, a member of the Senate Press Corps and NUJ, who remembers her as a kind and compassionate sister who always put others before herself.

As a politician and teacher, Catherine Onoh left an indelible mark on her community, inspiring countless individuals with her dedication and passion.

Her marriage to the Onoh family of Umuchukwu further cemented her commitment to community development, as she continued to work tirelessly for the betterment of her people.

Catherine Onoh’s legacy extends beyond her family, as she touched the lives of many through her community service and educational initiatives.

Her funeral ceremony will begin from January 12th, 2026, at both her father’s home in Akwuoba Ogbunka and her husband’s home in Umuchukwu, both in Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State.

She is survived by her brother, sister, son, sister-in-law, grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, who mourn her passing and celebrate her life.
