Osun government ready to advance health care delivery – Commissioner

Mrs Adenike Adeleke, the Osun State Commissioner for Federal Matters, over the weekend in Abuja, said the State was ready to advance its Primary Health Care (PHC) service delivery toward public well being.

Adeleke, who was represented by Mr Olukunle Alao, Director of Osun State Liaison Office in Abuja, said this at the end of year party organised by the Association of Osun State Indigenes in Federal Public Service, Abuja.

According to her, the government has determined to provide more support to ensure health care is closer to where people live and work than before.

She said such a health care service was one of the benefits of democracy the present administration promised to execute in the State.

“Recently, our State received an award for the best performing state in Primary Health Care in South West. This is an indication that the Gov. Ademola Adeleke gives priority to the health of the people in the State,” she said.

She encouraged members of the association to prioritise health to live long, saying that “health is wealth.

“The feedback from the public has been quite encouraging. Our people have gladly rating us very high in health, infrastructure and education among others. We must express our appreciation to our people, ” she said.

She further urged the members of the association to protect their culture, language, and tradition by enshrined them into their children.

“It is important to let our children understand that they are from Osun State, particularly our villages and towns. We should always encourage our children to visit home once in a while.

“ Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun State felicitates with all the members of the association on this occasion of yours,” she said.

Mr Suleiman Olapade, the Chairman of the Association of Osun State Indigenes in Federal Public Service, Abuja, thanked the government of Osun State for its goodness and support towards the association.

Olapade, who commended all executives and members for their efforts to uplift the association, urged them to serve as true ambassadors of the State.

The chairman called on the members to keep intensify efforts toward promote good governance in the State.

According to him, the objectives of the association included promoting legitimate interest of members, empowering of members through cooperate society and identifying with one another for mutual benefits.

In his own part, Chief Omolade Adebayo of Tundunwada, Lugbe, in Abuja, urged the members of the association to value unit, respect, love and permit mutual understanding among themselves.

According to him, such aforementioned qualities are very important for the sustainability and longevity of any viable association.
