She further explained that the CP Garba gave the assurance, when operatives of the command’s Anti-kidnapping unit, in a joint effort with other security agencies, rescued two kidnapped victims – one James Paul and one Austin Oba, both male from Kobi Sarki Village, Abuja.

The victims, the statement said, were abducted by kidnappers in the early hours of 04/12/2033.

The CP noted that the Command has witnessed relative peace and commendable reduction in crime rate in recent times.

He further noted that Police operatives swung into action, upon receipt of the distress call, and trailed the criminals to their hideout, amongst other operational and strategic policing efforts, leading to the successful rescue of the victims.

The victims have since been reunited with their family after being confirmed stabilised by a medical expert.

CP Garba, also reiterated the unflinching commitment of the Police and the security community in the State to improve public safety in the FCT and keeping the people safe.
