TCN Kano Region Hosts NISO Managing Director on Courtesy Visit

The General Manager, (Transmission), Kano Region, Engr. M. K. Bello, recently recieved the Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, to the Regional Office, on a courtesy visit aimed at futher deepening inter-agency collaboration in the nation’s power sector.

In his remarks, the General Manager (Transmission), TCN Kano Region, Engr. M. K. Bello, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, for the courtesy visit and the cordial relationship that exists between NISO and TCN. He commended the Managing Director for his unwavering support and strong partnership, noting that whenever TCN required assistance or operational support, NISO had consistently demonstrated its commitment by responding promptly and providing the necessary cooperation.

Engr. M. K. Bello assured NISO of TCN Kano Region’s readiness to sustain the existing partnership and provide the necessary operational support that would ensure that the objectives of the electricity market reform are achieved.

During the meeting, the NISO MD, Engr. A. M. Bello expressed appreciation to the Region’s Management Team for the formal handover of the former TCN Regional Office to NISO, describing it as a significant milestone and a clear demonstration of the cordial and mutually beneficial relationship between both companies.

He reaffirmed NISO’s commitment to sustaining close collaboration with TCN in the collective pursuit of a stable, reliable, and efficient national electricity grid. He noted that seamless coordination between system operations and transmission infrastructure is critical to grid security and stability, adding that continued cooperation remains essential to improving power system operations and enhancing electricity service delivery nationwide.
