The Redeemer Teap International School, Garki, Abuja has won the 2023 Flexisaf Educational Technology award as best school in Nigeria with adoption of technology in making online academic activities seamless.

The Head Teacher, Mrs Joy Mmakwe, who received the award on behalf of the school management in Abuja on Friday, announced the feat.

Mmakwe said technology embodies the flexibility, choices, access to resources and expertise, collaborative learning, global perspectives and feedback mechanisms for delivering the type of world class holistic academic, physical and moral education for survival.

She said this informed the decision of the school management in embracing technology as key to success in today’s world of revolutionary technology.

“The school is particularly delighted to be rated as having the highest number of adoption of Automated Lesson Planning System which has made the work of teachers less stressful and less time consuming.

“That the school is also rated number one in terms of engagement of parents in tracking the performance of their wards through online platform is a thing of joy.

“We thank Flexisaf for their efforts in conducting this type of survey focused on encouraging schools to embrace the transition from analog to digital frameworks and for installation of Education Technology Applications,” Mmakwe said.

She said the importance of education technology in today’s technology driven global village is of immense proportion.

Mmakwe pledged the commitment of the school to continue to take all necessary steps towards delivering world class pre-primary, primary and secondary education.

She said the school would also focus on the recruitment of professional and competent staff, building capacity of staff through continuing professional development programmes, and deployment of more education technology platforms.

Sonia Osayande, the Growth Marketing Manager, FlexiSAF Edusoft Limited, said the school’s success is a testament to genuine love for technology that permeates every facet of the institution.

Osayande said the school was honoured as the best in Nigeria because of its positive impact in not just making the environment a place of learning but a beacon of growth and innovation.

“In just over two years since onboarding SAFSIMS, Redeemer Teap has showcased an inspiring journey of growth and achievement.

“The implementation of our school management software at Redeemer Teap has not only streamlined administrative processes but has also catalysed a technological revolution within the institution.

“The educators here have embraced innovation, leveraging the power of technology to create an enriched and dynamic learning environment,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that FlexiSAF Edusoft Limited, which commenced operation since 2010 is a software company focusing primarily on education through provision of lifelong learning.

It has provided over 500 institutions (primary, secondary, tertiary, government parastatals and learning centers) with learning solutions to improve their activities and impact the quality of education provided.(NAN)
