Irked by the activities of 330kva electricity tower vandals in the state, the Yobe State government has engaged Islamic clerics through recitation of the Holy Quran to seek God’s intervention and punishment of the perpetrators and vandals.

It could be recalled that in February 2024, unknown vandals vandalized the 330kva tower around Kasaisa Village which affected the power supply for Yobe and Borno states respectively.

With the approval of Yobe State government led by the Special Adviser on Religious Affairs Uthstaz Baba Gana Malam Kyari, prominent Islamic reciters and Malams were mobilized today to recite and ask God to curse whoever that is involved in the act of vandalizing the electricity tower, sponsors of the vandals, those facilitating the vandalization, anyone aware but kept silent, those transporting the perpetrators, buyers of the looted items, transformer cable thieves among others sabotaging the electricity supply.
