The All Progressives Congress (APC) national leadership and stakeholders have endorsed Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, also known as Ikukuoma (Wind of Glory), as the party’s governorship flag bearer for the November 8, 2025, off-season election in Anambra State.

The event, which took place in Abuja within the week, was attended by top party officials, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, his deputy Barau Jibrin, Senators from the South East caucus, and APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The APC leaders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to taking over Anambra State, pledging unflinching support for Prince Ukachukwu’s candidacy. They cited President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s charge for APC to win Anambra, enabling the state to benefit from national grid politics.

The endorsement comes ahead of the official kickoff of the governorship campaigns, which began on June 11, 2025, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) schedule.

News of the endorsement has generated excitement in Anambra State, with a party chieftain, Emma Okpala, noting that it exposes opposition parties’ claims of a working alliance with President Tinubu as delusional.

The APC’s confidence in Prince Ukachukwu’s candidacy is evident, with the party’s leaders and stakeholders rallying behind him. The endorsement is expected to boost Prince Ukachukwu’s chances of winning the election and potentially marking a significant shift in Anambra State’s political landscape.
