The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has concluded its primary election for the position of Mayor in Orumba South Local Government Area, Anambra State, Nigeria. The incumbent, Hon. Shedrack Azubike, emerged victorious in the election held on Tuesday in Umunze, the headquarters of the local government.

One of the mayoral aspirants, Dr. Chike Emeribe, has thrown his support behind the incumbent, Azubuike, urging his supporters to accept the results of the election in good faith. Emeribe made this statement while speaking to journalists shortly after the primary election.

Emeribe emphasized the importance of conducting politics without bitterness, thanking his supporters for their loyalty and hard work during the campaign. He urged them to rally behind Azubuike, stating that the incumbent would bring more democracy dividends to the people of Orumba South if given full support.

The APGA primary election was conducted peacefully, with Azubuike emerging as the winner. Emeribe’s concession speech has been welcomed by many, who see it as a sign of maturity and a commitment to the party’s unity.

Emeribe also advised politicians to shun the idea of politics of “do or die,” stating that such an approach could lead to harm and even death, which would defeat the objectives of politics and democracy.

He emphasized that politics should be about serving the people and promoting democracy, rather than personal interests. Emeribe’s stance has been praised by many, who see it as a call for more responsible and peaceful politics.

The APGA is one of the road to becoming the ruling party in Anambra State, and Azubike’s victory is seen as a significant boost to the party’s chances in the upcoming local government elections.

The outcome of the election has been welcomed by many in Orumba South, who are looking forward to Azubike’s second term as Mayor. The people of Orumba South are hoping that Azubike will deliver on his promises and bring development to the local government area.

The local government election is expected to be held soon, and Azubike’s victory in the primary is seen as a major advantage in the run-off to the election.
