He described the quarterly engagement as more than a routine meeting, noting that it serves as a strategic platform where government, industry operators, development partners, and citizens assess progress, exchange ideas, and collectively shape the future of Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace industry.

He stated that the Ministry has recorded significant progress in implementing Presidential Priorities and Ministerial Deliverables, particularly in enhancing aviation safety and security, expanding critical infrastructure, modernising airports and air navigation systems, promoting local content and employment opportunities, and improving the overall passenger travel experience.

Kambari noted that the aviation sector remains a vital enabler of national development by facilitating trade, tourism, investment, regional integration, and global connectivity. He stressed that sustained collaboration among government, private sector operators, development partners, and citizens is essential to building a resilient, efficient, and globally competitive aviation industry.

He further explained that the engagement provides an opportunity not only to showcase achievements but also to review lessons learned, identify emerging challenges, and obtain valuable feedback to strengthen policy implementation and service delivery across the sector.

He urged participants to actively contribute constructive recommendations and innovative ideas that will support evidence based decision making and accelerate the attainment of the Ministry’s strategic objectives.

Kambari said the Ministry remains committed to stimulating economic growth, creating sustainable employment opportunities, attracting investment, and delivering world class services to both domestic and international travellers.

He appreciated stakeholders for their continued partnership and contributions towards the sustainable development of Nigeria’s aviation industry, expressing confidence that the outcomes of the engagement would translate into practical actions that further strengthen collaboration and advance the nation’s aviation sector.

Earlier in his welcome address, delivered on his behalf by Mr. Peter Vembe, the Permanent Secretary welcomed participants drawn from government agencies, industry operators, development partners, the media and the general public.

He described the engagement as a strategic platform for dialogue, collaboration, and shared responsibility in advancing the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the aviation sector, adding that sustainable growth can only be achieved through strong partnerships between government, industry stakeholders, and citizens.

He encouraged both physical and virtual participants to contribute ideas and recommendations that will support the development of a safer, more efficient, innovative, and globally competitive aviation industry.

Presentations by aviation agencies highlighted notable achievements, including improvements in airport infrastructure, enhanced staff capacity development programmes, strengthened aviation safety and security systems, and improved inter-agency collaboration.
