Hon Chinedu Joshua Obika, the lawmaker representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has urged party members to not only adopt reconciliation, but also promote unity and peace in the party.

Due to the the way he has been promoting peace and unity in the party, the National Chairman, Barrister Julius Abure, alongside stakeholders, applauded Obika’s proactive efforts to strengthen the party’s foothold in the FCT and unanimously endorsed him as the leader of the LP in the nation’s capital.

The parliamentarian convened a stakeholders meeting of the LP at the party’s National Secretariat in Utako, Abuja, on Monday, with the aim to reinforce party cohesion, clarify objectives, and mobilize support ahead of future elections.

Addressing key stakeholders including the LP FCT Working Committee, zonal and area council leaders, ward chairmen, chairmanship and councillorship aspirants, the lawmaker praised their dedication and urged intensified grassroots mobilization to expand the party’s membership base. He underscored the importance of strict adherence to the LP’s constitution, emphasizing that no individual outweighs its principles.

Reaffirming confidence in the party’s leadership under Abure and reiterating the need for unity and open dialogue to reconcile aggrieved members, Honorable Joshua Chinedu Obika positioned the LP as a leading political force in Nigeria. While urging collective action to safeguard its progress, he said this is the time for LP to shine again in the FCT, adding that: “We shall succeed together.”
