The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, aka Sam Larry, the runaway manager of Azees Fashola, aka Naira Marley.
The police wrote on its X handle, formerly Twitter, that, “Balogun Olamilekan Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is currently assisting in the ongoing investigation.”

The police had hinted that they had earlier invited Larry and Marley for questioning over Mohbad’s death.

Larry was said to have escaped to Kenya in the wake of the death of Ileroluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka Mohbad whose death he was rumoured to have knowledge of.

Larry was said to have allegedly bullied the late singer at one occasion, culminating into one of the causes of Mohbad’s tragic and untimely death.

However, Larry has claimed his innocence in the death of Mohbad likewise Naira Marley, who has yet to report to the police in connection with the death.

Marley too, in an official statement had claimed his innocence, denying that he was not cultist as well as a drug addict.

Marley owns Malian Record, to which the late Mohbad was a signee, though the latter was said to have left the record label amid a disagreement that generated disaffection between the Marlian family and Mohbad.

Meanwhile, following several protests organized by the youths and Mohbad’s fans to investigate what led to his death, the police had exhumed the corpse of the deceased Afrobeat sensation to carry out an autopsy, the result of which has not yet been officially announced.
